So, you're calling in late to work. You talk to your secretary/receptionist/boss and say, "I'm sorry I'm running late, I'm taking my grandmother to an appointment then coming straight to work. I should be there in a half hour." Your secretary/receptionist/boss responds with, "That's fine. For work purposes, can I just have her verbal consent on the phone that you're doing this for her?"
